This week we completed a checklist to monitor if teaching staff, kitchen staff and classes are all recycling. We have been very good at recycling our milk cartons, batteries, paper and food. We also put some icons on top of the bins to help other pupils to recycle correctly.
This week we also displayed some pictures on our Eco board. We currently have our action plan, Eco code, cycling/scooter agreement, persuasive letter to Mrs King and some pictures. We have displayed healthy eating, spot checks and our celebration assemblies where classes are awarded the Eco trophy and certificate.
This week we also discussed that we can adopt a turtle as Mrs King has said “yes”. Soon we will be recycling our old clothes and putting them into bags and helping to raise money for the school. We will have 2 collections this year and every kilo we donate we get 50p back.
