This half term we are focusing on Healthy Eating. We have been researching and making healthy snack ideas, planning a healthy meal. We are looking forward to sharing this with the whole school.
We have been looking at the importance of having Happy Hearts and Healthy Minds
We played lots of interactive games and watched some information videos about the different food groups. We learnt about why it is important to have a balanced diet and the good effects it has on our bodies.
After learning about the different food groups, we created our own healthy plate. We designed a favourite meal, making sure we had a balance of all the food groups.
We looked about the importance of eating 5 portions of fruit or vegetables a day.
Then, we enjoyed creating some delicious fruit kebabs.
