World Ocean Day
Year 2 pupils have been celebrating World Ocean Day. They took a deeper look into pollution in our oceans. They were shocked by some of the facts they found out about micro plastics in the ocean and it really inspired them to make a change for our future.
One of the year 2 pupils created a short letter independently for our kitchen staff. She politely asked if they could stop using plastic wrap on the sandwiches and using a more eco friendly option like beeswax wraps. She wrote the letter independently after they had been learning about pollution and plastic in our oceans.
Let's hope our kitchen staff listen to our pupil's and change the plastic wrap.
