Children's clothing/Coats etc

Please can you clearly label your child's belongings with their names. We do appreciate that they can wear off through washing etc. Thank you. 

P.E.

P.E. will take place every Tuesday afternoon. Please ensure your child wears their P.E. kit to school on a Tuesday. The pupils can wear any type of comfortable sports clothes. Correct PE kit is essential for children to fully take part with apparatus etc. 

Forest School

Forest School will take place weekly in Machen. The whole class will take part in lots of exciting outdoor activities. Please remember to send your child to school with their coats and wellies as we will enjoy Forest School whatever the weather! Please send wellies to school with your child for them to keep in their locker throughout the school year. Please ensure they are clearly labelled with your child's name. 

Homework

Every Friday we will give you a homework activity to share with your child. You will find the activity on your child's seesaw journal or a paper activity will be sent home. All homework should be returned to us by the following Wednesday.

Reading and Book Bags 

Please can you ensure your child has their book bag everyday and not just their specified reading day this ensures that we can change your child's book whenever needed. We will use the yellow 'Reading Record' to communicate with you at home and would appreciate it if you could comment on how your child has been reading each week. Book bags are also really handy for the children to bring home letters, pictures and certificates!

Tuck money is £1.00 a week and should be brought in on a Monday.
