Blended Learning

At Ty Isaf Infants, we have plans in place to ensure the ongoing education of all pupils should the school close under unusual circumstances.

If the school were to close for any reason e.g. from an illness epidemic, extreme weather, power-loss, etc. then staff at Ty Isaf Infants School will continue to provide an education and support to all of our children through remote learning online.

There are a number of different plans that the school may need to work towards in response to any situation that may arise. The plans are as follows:

1. Full opening - Operating at full capacity.

2. Full capacity with restrictions in place.

3. Reduced capacity - All classes in school but with a reduced number of pupils in class. Blended learning in place.

4. Partial opening. Some classes in school and some classes working from home with online distance learning.

5. Full closure. All working from home with all classes online distance learning.

Learning Platforms

Children and parents will be offered the following online Learning Platforms:

HWB  - all learners

TEAMS – all parents

SEESAW – all learners

Google Classroom – Year 2 only

All learning will take place using SEESAW and Google Classroom. This will allow staff to keep in daily contact in a professional and confidential manner with their class. Teachers will be able to schedule learning in a manner that does not overwhelm our children. Teaching and learning can be tailored, changed and updated as time progresses, allowing for replication of classroom activity to the best of our ability. Staff will upload pre-recorded videos to SEESAW for all learners to access. In all communications, we will prioritise the wellbeing of our children.
